The primary job responsibilities include screening and intake, legal writing and research, drafting discovery responses and preparing/organizing document production, ordering medical records, e-filing, and communicating with clients. This position is well-suited for a law student who is interested in gaining work experience in the legal profession, which will afford the student an opportunity to learn and cultivate valuable skills, particularly for students interested in litigation.

Also, there are two other attorneys for whom the law clerk will perform work. Michelle Poss is an alumna of the Nashville School of Law. She maintains a probate and elder law practice, and she is the Public Administrator for the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County. Luke Willoughby is an alumnus of the Nashville School of Law and maintains a criminal defense practice.
