Position Description: Williamson County General Sessions Court is accepting applications for a full-time Judicial Commissioner. The Judicial Commissioner Office is open 24 hours a day/7 days a week. Judicial Commissioners assist the public and law enforcement agencies on a regular and daily basis. To be considered for this position, applicant must be a resident of Williamson County, Tennessee and will be required to attend mandatory continuing education training.

Judicial Commissioners determine probable cause to issue arrest warrants based upon sworn testimony. They also issue search warrants, juvenile petitions, and criminal summons, assign conditions of release of bail, set bail and court dates, and review and order involuntary commitments for mental health treatment.

Applicants must have an education equivalent to graduation from high school, law enforcement background preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary as the job requires dealing with the general public and law enforcement. Should have basic understanding of Law enforcement procedures and codes. Excellent writing skills and strong abilities on the computer are required. Must be available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays. Background check required.  Williamson County is an Equal Opportunity Employer
