Dean's Welcome
CARRYING OUT THE MISSION.
Dean William C. Koch, Jr.

Welcome to the Nashville School of Law. Our School is a non-profit institution founded in 1911 to enable working men and women to earn a law degree. Studying law broadens rather than narrows a person’s professional horizons, and our School is a place where our students can achieve their lifelong goals through commitment and hard work. For over one century, our graduates have gone on to become leaders in the legal profession, in business, and in and federal, state, and local government.
NSL’s commitment to diversity in the practice of law is reflected in the diversity of our student body. We welcome students from all backgrounds and walks of life. Because we know and understand the barriers to earning a law degree, our admission process takes into consideration not only academic attainments but also practical experience and accomplishments. We also address the financial barriers by keeping the cost of our law degree substantially lower than other law schools in Tennessee and the surrounding states.
Our talented faculty guides our students. These talented women and men are recognized leaders who approach their courses with an unparalleled combination of academic excellence, practical experience, and a deep commitment to instilling in their students a commitment to civility, professionalism, and excellence.
This website will enable you to learn much more about our School, its students, and our graduates. Hope you will join us in the challenging and rewarding student of law.
